The 18-year-old was killed while selling bottles of water in Midtown.
Tomeka Pless described the last time she heard he son's voice.
"His last words were, 'mom, I feel like something is not right, so I’m going to sell a couple of bottles of water and I’m coming home'," she recalled.
But her son, Jalanni Pless, never came home.
