A massive earthquake slammed Japan with a preliminary magnitude of a 7.6, according to authorities. Sone residents are being told to evacuate after thousands of homes lost power. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued tsunami warnings for the coastal area of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida warned residents to prepare by saying 'residents need to stay on alert for further possible quakes, and I urge people in area where tsunamis are expected to evacuate as soon as possible."
