In the last 24 hours, air strikes and artillery fire there have killed dozens of civilians, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
Rockets continue to be launched into Israel from Lebanon and Gaza by militant groups, including Hamas, which is considered a terrorist organization by multiple countries.
