The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claims troops of the Givati Brigade killed “many” Hamas operatives in close-quarters combat in Khan Younis in Gaza. Israeli officials have been in talks with Congo and other countries for the potential acceptance of displaced Gazans, Zman Yisrael reported. “Congo will be willing to take in migrants, and we’re in talks with others,” a source in the Israeli security cabinet told Zman Yisrael. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh has pledged that Israel will be held responsible for the assassination of Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri in Lebanon. Declassified US intelligence claims Hamas used Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital to command forces, store weapons and house hostages.
