US helicopters sank three Houthi boats, blocking another hijacking attempt by the Iran-backed group in the Red Sea. U.S. Navy helicopters opened fire at Houthi fighters attempting to board a Maersk cargo ship. Yemen's Houthis say 10 of its fighters were killed in the attack. The Iran-backed group has warned the US of consequences. This was the 23rd attack by the Houthis since November 19 and marks a deadly escalation in tensions in the region.
