1. Wide of conference
2. SOUNBITE (French) Emmanuel Macron, French President:
"And even if it's hard to imagine today, especially perhaps because it's hard to imagine today it is even more indispensable, it's the political pillar. We must learn from our mistakes and no longer accept that peace in the Middle East is always postponed. We need to regain the initiative and find the strength to finally move towards a two-state solution, with Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security. First and foremost, let's demonstrate that the creation of a Palestinian state serves Israel's security. Let us demonstrate to the Palestinians that today's war will not divert us from the goal of satisfying their legitimate aspirations. And a lasting solution requires that the Palestinian question finally be answered, not just that Hamas be neutralized."
