A North Seattle mother was robbed in her driveway in what Seattle police described as the start of a string of alleged crimes that stretched from North Seattle to Lake City and ended in Shoreline Tuesday night.
Elena, a mother of two, told KOMO News Wednesday that she was stunned to be robbed just steps from her front door. She spoke of feeling as though her sense of security had been shattered because of it.
A short time later, police responded to two other incidents- including stolen cars, a two-car collision, and armed carjacking and abduction. Police said they were all related and began with Elena being robbed. The SPD said both vehicles involved in the crash were reported stolen.

1:52 A man has been taken into custody in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at a boat launch along Highway 2 between Gold Bar and Monroe Tuesday evening, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they received a call around 7 p.m. from a woman who said she'd been shot on Highway 2 and that her passenger was dead from a gunshot wound.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a woman who was dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle, according to officials. They also treated a second woman who was taken to the hospital shortly after with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, identified only as a 44-year-old man from Gold Bar, was found by deputies just after 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The man ran into the river but was eventually taken into custody near the Ben Howard boat launch in Monroe.
