The US military reportedly targeted another Houthi-controlled site in Yemen’s Sanaa that posed a threat to commercial vessels in the Red Sea. The fresh attacks came a day after the U.S. and Britain conducted multiple airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. According to US Central Command, the ‘follow-up action’ was conducted by the Navy destroyer USS Carney using Tomahawk land attack missiles. Reportedly, the initial strikes on Jan 12 struck over 60 Houthi targets in 28 locations across Yemen.
