Two Navy SEALs who went missing during an operation off the coast of Somalia were reportedly searching for Iranian ballistic missiles. The SEALs were searching for suspected Iranian weapons on a Yemen-bound boat headed for Somalia, as per reports quoting US defence officials. A massive search-and-rescue operation is ongoing in the Gulf of Aden, where the incident occurred on January 11. Officials said that the mission was not related to US-led Operation Prosperity Guardian in the Red Sea, or the US-UK strikes against Houthis in Yemen.
