Naziabad is one of the neighborhoods in the south of Tehran. It is located in the northeast of Khazaneh neighborhood, in the northwest of Javadiyeh neighborhood and in the west of Khaniabad neighborhood, in the east of Bustan Bozorg province and south of Tehran railway.
This neighborhood has two bazaars in the south of Tehran, known as "First Bazaar" and "Second Bazaar", which are located on Pars Street (now Akbar Mashhadi) and Madain.
In the past, in this place of Tehran, there was a village called Nazabad. It is said that this neighborhood was bought by Naser al-Din Shah for one of his minions named Nazkhatun. Nasser al-Din Shah built a palace for Nazkhatun in this place, which later became a park. With the addition of this neighborhood to the south of Tehran in 1334, the name of Nazkhatoon neighborhood became "Nazabad" and then became "Naziabad".
