Fox News Contributor Dr Marc Siegel has revealed his concerns following Princess Catherine’s abdominal surgery.
Kensington Palace has revealed that the Princess of Wales has been admitted to a private London hospital for abdominal surgery and is expected to remain there for up to two weeks.
The Palace reveal the planned procedure was successfully carried out on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old is not expected to return to her royal duties until after Easter and apologised for having to postpone her royal engagements.
“Almost every single abdominal surgery I can think of, that’s not an emergency, is done through a scope these days or a robot, and you’re home in a day,” Dr Siegel told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
“I’m concerned – I think something might have gone wrong. I’m worried about a complication, I’m worried about an infection.
“Two to three months of recovery implies that there’s been something major here.”
