The US is evacuating troops from the Hemo military base near the airport in the city of Kamishli (al-Qamishli) in northeastern Syria, Al Mayadeen reported. The evacuation is the result of repeated attacks on Washington’s military base by Islamic resistance factions in Iraq. Al Mayadeen confirmed the arrival of military reinforcements of US troops to Al Sinaa prison in the city of Hasakah, coinciding with a helicopter flight overhead. The Hemo base is a vital one for the US occupation forces in Syria, as it is located 4km west of the Qamishli Airport, and has recently increased its troop size to 350 troops.
