The Uttar Pradesh government has withdrawn the case of vandalism against former Deputy SP Shailendra Singh in Varanasi. Shailendra Singh is the cop who had invoked the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) on gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari in 2004. Sailendra Singh got emotional when asked about past events. Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari was on Wednesday produced before a Mohali court in Punjab in connection with the extortion and criminal intimidation case against him. The next date for a hearing in the case has been scheduled for April 12. Mukhtar Ansari was produced before a court in Mohali in the extortion case from Ropar jail. Watch the video to know more.
