Unlike rival political parties, PTI decides to hold ‘digital Online jalsa’ Tonight on jan 20.
For the 2nd time in the country’s political history, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to hold a ‘digital jalsa’ [virtual gathering] ahead of the fast approaching general elections.
The decision has been taken by the PTI digital media wing amid the tough and difficult situation—the party leaders, workers and supporters have been facing for the last seven months. This may be a new challenge for the rival political party in fast growing digital reality.
The digital jalsa would be held on January 20 night.
JibranIlyas and AzharMashwani are the main brains behind the digital jalsa of the PTI, with the support of many other social media workers and supporters. The PTI leaders will take part in the digital jalsa with a special note from party Supremo Imran Khan.
However, it is still a big challenge for the PTI as its supremo Imran Khan, who has millions of followers on social media, is not available for the digital gathering [jalsa] this time. According to the insiders, many senior leaders are also involved in making the digital jalsa a success and a large number of volunteers are also working on it day and night. “The keyboards and cell phones are in the hands of the volunteers and the team members who are working on digital jalsa,” said a senior PTI leader seeking anonymity. He said that they were working with passion and in love with Imran Khan.
