Sky News host Sharri Markson says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is “refusing to stand up to China” after a warship injures divers in sonar pulse.
“Anthony Albanese refusing to stand up to China, being all buddy and friendly with Chinese President Xi Jinping,” Ms Markson said.
“This is an important story; the Albanese government says it’s had a reset on the relationship with China.
“But is this what normalising relations means that when you have a hostile act from a Chinese warship that injures one of our sailors, you don’t raise it when you see the Chinese President, and in fact, you just … pretend nothing has ever happened.”
Ms Markson sat down with Strategic Analysis Australia Director Peter Jennings to discuss the Chinese warship’s sonar pulse and Mr Albanese’s APEC forum visit.
