Hamas released a final batch of hostages before war with Israel restarted. The terror group freed eight captives on Thursday, most of them women hours before Israel said fighting had resumed when Hamas fired a rocket. It ends a week-long ceasefire during which roughly 100 Israeli captives
were freed, along with foreigners, in return for 240 Palestinians. Around 100 Israelis are still thought to be hidden away in Gaza, but none of them are expected to be exchanged while fighting is ongoing.
