"I assure you, brother — the sun will shine on us again."
And then they never saw each other again... 😭
hello guys ✨
I'm not dead, I promise, I hope I can soon post more edits (I hope you loved "the ballad of songbirds and snakes" 'cause I have many ideas I would love to share 👀)
I'll try to be brief, I think this is my final goodbye to marvel...
I always had a soft spot for the thor universe in the mcu, not only for my beloved loki, but also for thor and their bond.
I HATE how both characters got ruined by the different writers, and how they didn't get the good ending they both deserve... loki turned into a tree?! What is this shit? shadow and bone?
I'll forever mad we never got their reunion, and probably we never will since tom said this was his goodbye to loki 😭
All those years loving them, loki especially, will always stay in my heart, but I really can't stand what happened to the mcu after and during endgame. How trauma and character's developments are thrown aside to
emphasize the comic relief, how even the oldest characters are now a shadow of what they once were.
How there isn't substance anymore, just ✨ profit ✨
I just can't deal with this anymore, I grew up with those characters, and now I can't recognize most of them (well, the ones that are still alive at least) .... I'm sorry, I leave this to the new generations.
With this I'm not saying I'll never edit marvel related stuff again in the future, but that you shouldn't expect that many videos related to that fandom from me anymore, even if it breaks my heart.
ANYWAY, here's a little tribute to my favorite duo ever, those two are my favorite mcu characters (I'm sorry bucky) and I will always love them with all my heart 💖
Despite how badly it was made, I love the development they had: how both of them "suffered" in very different although very similar way the expectation the throne, and odin, put on them (the worthiness for thor, the desire of belonging for loki) and how then they rejected them to become someone better, stronger.
I think their end was very poetic in a sad way:
Thor lost everything, he became "unworthy" when his grief took over him (how i wish they explored this in a helathy way in canon), never realizing he was more than that.
He became someone "human", a hero with no throne and friends, but with something more, a daughter.
Loki, who everyone mistakenly thought wanted the throne (he never did, he wanted what it represented, acceptance), sacrificed everything for his friends, his new family, getting a throne and a power he never wanted. Ending up alone, for the people he loves.
In my mind they will meet again in the future, maybe thor will find mobius or sylvie, and they'll free loki, maybe loki will free himself and find thor and his niece, but the sun one day will shine for them again, I need to believe it.
this thing is dedicated to @kindredxpenpals and @moonreverie who alway support me, i love you so much guys, I would be lost without you two 💖
