It is June in Varanger, and up on the tundra, snow still blankets the ground. The weather has made a turn for the worse, but despite snowflakes falling from the sky, the arrival of migrating birds is announced by an orchestra of varied bird songs. In this three-part series, I explore what Varanger has to offer of Arctic specialists. Come behind the scenes of bird photography to join the adventure and see how the trip unfolds!
The species I photograph in this video include red-necked phalarope, dunlin, ruff, common ringed plover, golden plover, red fox, long-tailed skua, white-tailed eagle and long tailed duck.
