Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath to AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as a pro tem Speaker. However, this appointment has stirred controversy, with some BJP MLAs choosing to boycott the oath-taking event.
BJP MLA-elect from Goshamahal, Raja Singh has claimed that the current Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, shares the same apprehensions about AIMIM as his predecessor, K Chandrashekar Rao. Singh has alleged that Reddy, like Rao, is afraid of AIMIM. Notably, in 2018, Raja Singh did not take the oath when a member of AIMIM was appointed as a pro tem Speaker.
