Relive the moment Team USA set a new world record of 42.2 seconds to win gold in the men's 4x100m relay event at the Antwerp 1920 Olympic Games.
Team USA was the clear favourites for the 4x100m men's relay competition at the Antwerp 1920 Olympic Games.
Out of the six finalists from the men's 100m sprint final, Charles Paddock, Morris Kirksey, Jackson Scholz and Loren Murchison had taken their four spots; with Paddock and Kirksey taking the gold and silver medals.
So, when the final took place, it was no surprise when the North American team won the gold medal. Clocking 42.2 seconds, they beat the previous world record established by the German team during the Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games.
